EIGHTH GRADE VISITING DAY Thursday, April ljftwenty-seven Eighth Grade students from the valley arrived at Kerby High School to visit for the day. The purpose of Eighth Grade Visiting Day is to acquaint the new-comnig students with the ways of High School. The Freshman and Sophomore classes chaperoned the Eighth Graders for the day. . Assembly was held in the morning before classes were taken up. Welcome speeches to the Eighth Graders were given by Bob Wendt, student-body president, and Yvonne Payne, Girls League president. At noon a luncheon was served by the junior Home Economic Class. To end an interesting day for the Eighth Graders a softball game was played be- tween them and the Freshman class, with the victory going to the Freshman by a score of 22 to 8. 1 GIRLS GLEE CLUB The Girls Glee Club has made excellent progress this year under the direction of Miss Elinor Hatch. Any girl who desired to join the club and was willing to try to sing was enrolled. Performances of the club at- various activities, such as the Mothers' Tea and Commencement drew very favorable compliments from the audiences. With the good beginning made this year, even greater accomplishments are expected next year. V I X ' 1 S
