gTI-IE SENIOR CLASS PLAY One of the eventsl of the high school year is the Senior Class play held this year on Thursday, April 8th, in the high school gym. .The play, Don't Be Bashful , a comedy in three acts was selected by the class as the play they wanted to produce, and from the expressions of the attendance it seemed to be thought of as probably one of the best plays ever given at the school. Joyce 'Payne and Elva Messenger carrying the heaviest speaking parts for the girls, and Bob Wendt and jack Sowell leading theboys cast brought many laughs and high- lights to the play. The story was a clean cut picture of a girl who was supposed to be very bashful and retiring, but in reality she got what she was after, and her bashfulness seemed to no longer prevail. The cast was composed of the following: Nancy Adams .,....,...........,.................. .,,....,. I oyce Payne Grace Adams ,... ........,.,....,........,....,,,, ,...... The proceeds of the play were used by the Seniors to help finance Commencement activities. SENIOR SKIP DAY The Time: Five o'clock A. M., Gctober 29, l9!l2. The Place: Cave junction Motor Court. The Personnel: Fourteen cold but happy Seniors headed for Crescent City and an eventful clay. A H The Plot: After embarking, undaunted by the light rain, in cars belonging to Jay Hayes, Jim Baldwin and Montee Heald, the group arrived in Crescent City around seven o'clock A. M. After assuring the population of fthe coastal town fxvhich was thin at that hour, that we were there, a damp and breezy hour or so was spent in beach comb- ing, wading, and taking snapshots. Through the course of the day we enjoved a trip thruogh the aquarium and the ad- joining museum. Also a tramp on Pebble Beach, coming back to a fire and lunch, con- sisting of the usual sand, potato salad, sandwiches, potato chips, baked beans, cookies, fruit olives, pickles and sand fleas. The group, with some sickness but not enough to dampen spirits, returned home, arriving a little after six P. M.
