In the spring, a farce, Mrs. McThing , kept the audience roar- ing at its exaggerated characters and situations. The class of '57 present- ed a comedy, Time Out for Ginger , which involved the audience in a fam- ily problem with humorous complications. In the winter the high spot of the year was reached with the presentation of two Shakespearian plays, As You Like It and Midsummer Night's Dream . The audience, the actors, and the V crews greatly enjoyed these plays which are rarely performed in high school. Ann Eaton as Rosalind, Mickey Cooper as Orlando, Harold Hoeferle as Bot- tom, and Ioe Coop as Starveling, turned in excellent performances. The set and costumes were for the first time at K. H. S. student-designed, by Sara Dickinson and Pat Lofton. Sophomore onor Students K. C. C. is proud of Bill Mullen and Dennis Meierotto, who have held above a 3.25 average for the past two years. They are to be commended for their fine record. Besides keeping up their scholastic standards, both have been active in college activities. Special recognition goes to Sara Ruby and I. D. Willis, who--though they haven't carried full schedules--have suc- ceeded in maintaining above a three point average for two years. Congratulations to all of them for their achievement, and for setting these standards for which future K.C.C. students can aim. fmrzvme SEATED Left to Rlght E Overhulser I Ewers R Leisy B Sxmpson, I. A Baseball Spring practice for baseball has been cut short because of bad weather, The team looks as if it is shaping up for a real good season, the main problem being the lack of a first baseman. A solution has yet to be found but there are some good possibilities. The team is strong defensively and better than average offensively. Once it gets rolling it will be hard to beat be- cause of the fine teamwork and the team spirit it has. :Si wap ,NIL 4 Q ' ' 'h.R My -lm., W i . . . . Not everyone had a VVh1te Christmas , but snowflakes were falling when the college had its Annual Christmas Dance .... . . . .Another view of the Christ- mas Dance, held in the Snow Palace . Everything was blue and white, and it looks as if these people are enjoying the refreshments. . . . .And there is a scramble for the ball. Let's hope the Komets come up with it. The tear' was greatly aided by. . . . . . . . the cheerleaders, who are shown holding pictures of the players at a Pep Rally, and. . . . . . . . by the spectators, who look as if something mighty exciting has happen- ed. The Komets appreciated the crow- ds that came to their games this year. To say that K.C.C. students are strangers to regular college work would be more than a false- hood. With the ever-increasing enrollment, our teachers still find time to devote to the individual. With the pleasant atmosphere present in our classrooms, going to school is reallyapleasure. ,Qfg f 'T' L: if Ullbfllphid I Busted XI! WAIJWDRTR BROTHERS lqnellnu. lo.. U. I. A. .11 13, 5. .
