The Thespians were the sponsors of a very effective pep rally at Glenn Koch field the night before the Keokuk-Mt. Pleasant game. On the day of the Keokuk-Muscatine game, a' -pep assembly was held by the cheerleaders. They introduced several new yells and motions to some old ones. The Pow VV'ow had charge of the assembly on the day of the Keokuk-Ft. Madison game November 9. The program comprised, in a very :solemn manner, the burial of the Madi- son team's hopes of winning. Coach Don Shupe piloted the Chiefs to the title with a 13,1 conference record losing only to a high spirited Ottumwa team. Through the cooperation, understanding and hard work of the boys, Shupe has de- veloped another great team which fans and followers may be proud of. The only other loss suffered by the Chiefs was to Davenport in the early part of the season. We have another boy similar to Jumping Jack Saltzgaver. His name is Jumping Jack McIntyre. Bill Logan, one of 1owa's outstanding scorers, has roundly blasted nearly all his own records and some new ones during his last season at Senior High. Bob Williams is to be commended on his defensive action. To Jack Jones and Larry Koch we give recog- nition on their quick maneuvers which gives the sparkle to floor play both offensively and defensively. jim Breakbill's and Jim Gammon's height were a great advantage with re- bounds so vital.
