FOREWORD Ideas, imagination, an enthusiastic staff of fourteen students, and one advisor-these are the elements which created your 1958 BLUEBOOK. The theme, the cover, the layouts, and copy were not acci- dentally discovered but are the results of much de- bate and trial. IGY-International Geophysical Year-was chosen as the theme of the hook. The divider pages, as you will see, depict two phases of IGY-Operation Deepfreeze in Antarctica and the Vanguard Project. For about one year, the BLUEBOOK has been in our hands. We have watched it develop page by page into what We believe to he the best BLUE- BOOK in Kenwood's history. As this book now leaves our hands and you become its owner, realize that any yearboolis prime pur- pose is to reflect the personality of one full school year.
