Campaign posters played an important part in presenting the candidates. On November l, l956, Kenwood High School experienced one of America's outstanding democratic pro- cedures, that of nominating candidates to run tor the highest offices in our country, the presidency and vice presi- dency. lt was only a mock convention but it was not lacking in enthusiasm, spirit, hope and feeling. Both the Democratic and Republi- can parties were vvell represented. There were grand demonstrations with signboards, banners, posters, slogans, and much campaign literature.
