TRAUB Years of Service 1930-1963 S Mrs. Traub's enjoyment of life influenced her work with stu- dents and their families. Her classroom was warm and inviting and was filled with hand-made materials which enhanced the success of her students. She was known and respected nationally for her work with blind children. Two dormitory living units in Howser Hall are dedicated in honor of Mrs. Margaret S. Traub. MARY OPAL KEITH Years of Service 1962-1977 Mrs. Keith's work as school nurse and field worker brought her into close contact with the students and their families. Her friendly and sincere manner’ instilled confidence andetnusts, ihe established good relationships with others in the health profes- sions to the benefit of The Kentucky School for the Blind students. The Health Center in Howser Hall is dedicated in honor of Mrs. Mary Opal Keith. SRBLGRIKE ORB ERBEKE DOROTHY HARTFORD Years of Service 1941-1946 1948-1972 As dietitian, Miss Hartford made a special effort to know the students and their families. She was aware of the individual traits and interests of each child, and her cheerful comments made her a special person to know. Miss Hartford was concerned with proper nutrition and could plan everything from a picnic to a banquet with perfect taste. The Food Service Building is named in honor of Miss Dorothy Hartford. LYDIA A. SCOGGAN Years of Service 1905-1952 Missmbydiaweserved as teacher and principal for forty-seven years. The emphasis which she placed on academic excellence and the importance of Braille earned the respect of her colleagues and had a lasting effect on the lives of students with whom she worked. Her dignity and kindness were examples to everyone. The Classroom Building is named in honor of Miss Lydia A. Scoggan. Oss SE AD Sams Re Years of Service 1914-1960 As music instructor, Mr. Eads was able to discover and develop talents in the students with whom he worked. His endearing and gentle qualities inspired love and respect by stud ents and co-work- ers. The band room in the Richie Building is named in honor of ei: UES mbads. 5. PEARL ROE COCHRAN e Years of Service 1931-1958 : Miss Pearl's work in the Housekeeping Department and as wait- ress placed her in contact with many students throughout the day. Those whose lives she touched remember her especially for her gentleness, kindness and cheerful disposition.
