In the spring of I9I9 a campaign was put on in Danville for new members, andgrg that time the organization has continued to grow, until now it has about three hundred enthusiastic active members. At the June meeting Miss Amelia Yerkes was elected presidentg Miss Mary Mae Walker, vice-president: Mrs. F rank Taylor, second vice-president: Miss Amanda Rodes, secretaryg Mrs. Harry Bosley, treasurerg and Miss Mary McDowell, publicity agent. The alumnae banquet this year was the largest, most enthusiastic one that has ever been held. The classes holding reunions had a large representation of out-of-town members, and every member present pledged anew her loyalty and devotion to her Alma Mater. In July the members of the Executive Board gave two delightful teas in the alumnae room of West Hall for the visiting alumnae. This room was furnished last year by the Alumnae Association, to be used as a reception room by the faculty and student bady. This year funds have been raised to furnish a guest room in Morgan Hall. The room will be furnished whenever it is turned over by the college to the Alumnae Association. Local chapters of the Alumnae Association have been formed in Kansas City and Independence. Mrs. James Welsh, of Oxford, is one of the most enthusiastic members of this chapter.
