After a half hour of bumping merrily over country roads we reached our destination, Mr. Logan Caldwell's attractive clubhouse on the Dix River. Of course, there was a wild rush for beds on the porch, and then every- one settled down to having a good time. We explored to our hearts' content until the supper bell rang, when we all flocked in to a bountiful and delicious meal prepared by Aunt Vicey. There were only five or six callers that night and the evening passed uneventfully, except that Doggy Walden tried to drown himself at Rebecca Brevard's feet. Daisy took her never-to-be-forgotten canoe ride. But Sunday morning just simply capped the climax. Almost all of Centre College came out Sunday morning, bringing ice cream and watermelons with them. Of course, they stayed to help eat it, and after that they spent not only the afternoon with us, but we had to share our supper with them-and then they stayed a little while for politeness sake. In the evening we wandered off to the dam in couples, or paddled the canoes up and down the moonlit river, or just sat on the porch and listened to lVlary's Texas song- bird, who sang for our entertainment. When Monday morning came it was a tired but happy crowd of girls who scrambled upon the truck with all their baggage. Lawdy, Lawdy! Senior Camp! l-low you chased away those homesick blues.
