Class History :QP v it- N September, l9l8, we entered the doors of K. C. W. with a look on our faces that would have made a timid ul rw person look bold. What was before us? We soon found out, and there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth when we learned by experience the awful trials of being freshmen. But after Christmas we gained a little confidence and elected Louise Nichols, class presidentg Betty Ireys, vice-president: Alice Montgomery, treasurerg and Miss Dorothy Welliver, class teacher. In 1919 a few of us came back, sophisticated sophomores, and started to work with more determination than we had shown the year before. We elected Mary Lawless Gatewood, president: Elizabeth Walker, vice-presfdentg Sarah E. Johnson, secretary-treasurerg and Miss Welliver, class teacher. We entered the interclass rivalry contest with a great deal of vim, but the upperclassmen proved to be stronger than we. We, being very sophisticated, took it as a matter of course, but deep down in our hearts we made a resolution to do better next year. l9Z0! Juniors! Almost at the top of the ladder. A few of the old girls came back, and those who did not come were replaced by new girls. Since Miss Welliver did not return, we unanimoujly elected Miss Fell class teacher, and with her help we hope to make a record equalled by no other class.
