Glen- Club: June Play, 'IOL lit-ii-Vo-XV1riii Stzitfg Cast of Senior' Play, '21. Could 1 love less, I should be happier. She's our baby in years, but not in worldly wisdom. Having the temperamental dis- position that belongs to talented people, she is always either in the heights of joy or the depths of gloom. She has a never- failing faculty for managing her instruc- torsg in fact, about the only thing she can't manage is her own love affairs. She has demonstrated her histrionic ability upon several occasions, and the stories evolved by her fertile imagination have been a joy to the English class. So, al- though her ideal life may be to dance all night and sleep all day, fate decrees an even better future for her genius. I-u-:nn DAISY FLORENCE MCLIN Hazel Green, Ky. Vice-President of East Hall: Reporter for Ken-Co-XVun1, '10-'21l: Delegate to Montreal, '20g Sunday School Superin- tendent: Editor'-in-Chief of the Daisy: Member of Student Council, '20-'21. Work is my recreation: a delight like that which a bird feels in Hyingf' Well, hey-diddle, somebody must be re- sponsible for thisg we aren't accomplish- ing a thingfi Such is the theme of Daisy's existence, and she usually ends by being responsible for it herself, and certain it is that she accomplishes much and in more ways than one. ln spite of her saint-like disposition, her naughty brown eyes and curling lashes have wounded more than one hero and even placed a few on the casualty list. lt's not a bit hard to pre- dict Daisy's future. A little home in her own mountains, maybe, where her genius for homemalcing will surely blossom forth and where her lo-e for social work will malce her the center of her community. School life is a song for Brummal, for she surely has a way with her and can't be beat when it comes to putting it over. She is possessed of a mixture of' wit and wisdom rarely found in the same person. She has executive ability and leadership, which has made her prominent in all school activities. She excels in dramatics and starred especially in the senior play. When other things fail to interest, K. C. W. has always Brummal's love affairs to fall back on, and each one seems more hopeless than the last, We see her trip- ping through life without a backward glance, always a social favorite and suc- cessful in whatever she undertakes. NELLIE MARGARET LAWRENCE Danville, Ky. All things come to him who waits. Therefore why should I hurry? During lVlargaret's frequent visits to school we have had but slight opportunity to know her. Always quiet and reserved, she puts the noisy chatter of the English class to shame-when she gets there in time. She must be very modest, for it took the entire annual staff, plus the rest of the seniors and Miss Lilly, to prevail upon her to have her picture made for the annual. She will never startle the world, but will do the sort of quiet good which is so greatly needed in this world. Cb Page twenty two

A,0'eclion warm and faith sincere, Ana' soft humanity are there. Mary is probably the most capable mem- ber of the class. Any movement which she is behind is sure to be a great success, and she never fails to help where help is needed. When Mary gets on a high everyone quits work to listen and laugh. With her keen sense of humor and win- ning smile, Mary is unusually attractive, and who can blame Beanie and Caruso for falling? MARY ALLENE MONTGOMERY Columbia, Ky. Who could think of Allene without think- ing of the chemistry class? For two long years now she has been Miss Milroy's special pet. lndeed, the rest of us are quite jealous of the attention shown her. Allene has been prominent in clramatics and as a member of the Honor Board. Faithful to duty and loyal, too, she is one to be trusted with many things. She will walk through life slowly and care- fully, but she will be successful in what- ever she undertakes. Page twenty four
