Ask Birdie is a byword at K. C. W. Theres nothing she's unable to find, no situation she's unable to meet. We don't see how this old place could go on with- out her. Her shoulders are squared to all responsibilities, even if she does get reck- less sometimes and experiment with cow- bells. etc. Birdie is an all-round girl, and is especially distinguished as being the first member of the K Club. A hard worker, a jolly schoolmate, a loyal friend, Birdie is sure to make her mark in this big world. EVELYN WOODFORD BATES Louisville, Ky. Vice-President of Y. W, C. A., '20-'21: Secretary and Treasurer ot' Dramatic Association, '19-'20Q Secretary and Treas- urer of Athletic Association, '20-'21g Cast of June Play. Blessed with a bright mind and attractive personality, she soon became the faculty pet of l9l9. Evelyn is a remarkably graceful dancer and possesses a great deal of dramatic talent. Though it's hard to predict her future, we are sure that suc- cess awaits her behind the footlights. Page eighteen

As juniors gay they stepped along, With joy their way was pavedg Mid-years they conquered with a song, In triumph their colors waved. ln basketball they won their Dame, And helped the Odd's cause, For the Endowment Fund they pledged rh With a spirit that did not pause. Step exercises soon were o'er, And then Commencement Day, And merry juniors they were no more, But seniors staid and gray. With dignity they've borne the weight Of senior responsibility, And underclassmens wiles they dodge With much agility. For tea room and the senior play They gave their time and work, Not a single task that came their way Did this bunch of seniors shirlc. And when on graduation day They bid K. C. farewell, Let each one hasten on the way Which fates for her foretell.

Vice-President of Junior Class, '20: President of Dramatic Associationg Past of June Play, '20: Member of Glee Club, '20-'21g Assistant Business Manager of Annual. '21g Business Manager ot' Ath- letic Association: Cast of the Senior Play, '21, A smile for all, a welcome glad, Axfovial coaxing may she had. Was there ever a jollier pal or better sport than our Virge? She wears a broad smile for every occasion, and her antics soon bring smiles to other people's flaces, too. She has chosen expression for her major subject and bids fair to being very successful in it. She starred in last year's june play, and in Quality Street and on other occasions her talent has been demonstrated. However, we fail to see Virgaleen behind the footlights. More likely behind a cookstove in a neat little kitchen-and not such a little kitchen either, or it won't hold Virge. Page nineteen :Bef .1 REBECCA BREVARD Murfreesboro, Tenn. Roses ramble o'er her cheeks, Sunlight has kissed her hair. Having survived the rigors of French B and French IV, to say nothing of physics and chemistry, Rebecca is surely well pre- pared to meet the hardships of life. She is full of fun and seldom worries over anything longg but it's safer to keep away if she is worried. She is prominent in athletics, especially basketball, and takes part wherever she is needed in any activ- ity. Being a ministers daughter, she may spend part of her future helping her fa- ther pay parochial visits, but we feel safe in saying that she won't spend all her days in this way.
