A great many of the boys who reported had had no previous experience but they made up in spirit what was lacking in skill. The boys had a fine time and a profitable season under the competent coaching of Mr. Currier. Members of the team received letters at the spring sports banquet an occasion which was made memorable for all of us also because of the inspirational speech given on that occasion by Mr. Ray Eliot 26 head coach at the Unix ersity- of Illinois. His topic, The VVill to Win, was an important one to all interested in athletics. Letters were awarded to Manager Fred IVorster, Franklin and Gerald Cowper- thwaite, Donald Lawliss, Mzilcrrlin Kennedy, Gaylord Boutilier, Harrison Richard- son, Harry Phillips, Robert Davis, Turner Perkins, Alwin Kelley, Raymond Stevens, and Ivan Vilitham. Gaylord Boutilier
