Mr. Howe further expressed that with this plan they then tried to 'tmake the system work tor the kids. Heading toward a final goal of learn- ing independence, students worked at their own speed and individual ability, Academic Adjustment was estab- lished to help students with the three basic classes, reading, social studies, and math, ln this program, the main emphasis was teaching the students what they needed to learn.
