By the end of the year they had achieved many goals. First, they proved that girls can and do play a good brand of basketball, as illustrated by a crowd of over 1500 enthusiastic fans. Kenton girls were the first Kenton basketball team to win 20 games in one season. As a team, they had an astounding 400 team assists as compared to 90 for the opponents. The most significant accomplishment of the 1979-80 teas was the high quality of behavior on and off the court. As Athletes, students and persons, the Kenton girls team has set a standard of excellence for all future athletic teams. Coach Bob Davis.
