COLORS RED, BLACK SILVER FLOWER RED ROSE MOTTO LOOK INTO TOMORROW WITH YESTERDAY'S DREAMS” SONG WE MAY NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN Seals and Crofts THE WAY WE WERE (From the Columbia Picture, Rastar Production entitled The Way We Were ) Music by Marvin Hamlisch Lyric by Alan Marilyn Bergman Life-so they say-is but a game and they let it slip away. Love-like the autumn sun-should be dying but its only just begun. Like the twilight in the road up ahead, they don't see just where you're going. And all the secrets in the universe whisper in our ears and all the years will come and go and take us up. Always up! We may never pass this way again. Dreams-so they say-are for the fools and they let them drift away. Peace-1 ike the silent dove-should be flying but its only just begun. Like Columbus in the olden days, we must gather all our courage. Sail our ships out on the open sea, cast away our fears. And all the years will come and go and take us up. Always up! We may never pass this way again. So, I wanna laugh while the laughing is easy. I wanna cry if it makes it worth while. I may never pass this way again, that's why I want it with you. Cause you make me feel like I'm more than a friend. Like I'm the journey and you're the journey's end. I may never pass this way again, that's why I want it with you. ° Copyright 1973 by Colgems-EMI Music Inc. A special thanks to Miss Cheney, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Rapp, Mr. Jordan, Mr. Kratzenberg and Mr. Smith for their efforts for the Spring Fling. Ill EDGAR OVIEDO Asuncion, Paraguay ADIB KALBONEH Sao Palo, Brazil GUILLERMO LAINO Rosario, Argentina Kenton High School was the home school for three exchange students from South America this year through the YOUTH FOR UNDERSTANDING program. This program seeks to foster better cultural understanding on the part of the two areas involved in the student exchange. It provides an opportunity for foreign students to visit the United States and learn about its culture first hand and helps U.S. students learn about the areas the students come from. The three students spent six months living'in Kenton in private homes after which they all returned home with plans to enter college in the fall. 112 GETTING READY FOR THE PROM The junior class spent many hours of preparation for the activities of prom week this year. The first activity was the Junior-Senior banquet which was held on monday at the high school cafeteria. The dinner was provided by members of the junior class in honor of the seniors. The dinner was followed by the awarding of certificates to outstanding seniors in each department in the high school. The evening ended with a bit of light hearted entertainment of how the juniors viewed some of the seniors. The junior class spent the next week getting ready for the dance to be held on friday May 20th. The theme of the dance was '‘Showboat,11 and was made to resemble the ballroom of a river boat at the turn of the century. Entrance to the dance floor was through a large model of a showboat. Refreshments were served by the sophomore prom servers and music was by Odyssey. Afterprom was held at the local union hall where an all night party was held with dancing, games, and plenty of food for everyone. 114 THE TOP TWENTY PRESENTS RHYTHM OF LIFE GRADUATION 1977 The Kenton Board of Education and their platform guests for graduation the Rev.
