CLASS HISTOfiy Of 1953 The years spent here with you, Kenton High, have marked four interesting but valuable chapters to each one of us as we are about to step out into life itself, thus drawing to a close Part I in our book of life and beginning Part II. The first chapter began in September of 1949, as one hundred and fourteen Greenies became a part of Kenton High. Keeping up with the class tradition, we elected the class officers. They were: Dick Jones, President; Roger Frost, Vice- President; and Barbara Weston, Secretary. Then came the second chapter as we have slowly climbed up the ladder. Election time rolledaroundagain. Thisyearwe elected: ClayFlinn, President; Janet Williams, Vice-President; Mary Lou Wedertz, Secretary. At last we upper classman and quite proud of the fact, too. With prominenceand responsibility of our position, we chose this year: Barbara Baker, President; Barbara Weston, Vice-President; and James Rodgers, Secretary. This year is the big year too and the one in which we gave the Junior-Senior Prom. The theme of the prom was Oriental Gardens . We earlier presented the Junior Play Seventeenth Summer. The leads were played by Barbara Weston, and Joe Clark. Miss Marjorie Ramge directed the play. Now in the fourth and last chapter we are Seniors. Many of us have longed for this and now that the time has come we were not sure if we did want to leave the school. Yet, now that it has been completed and we look back upon the wonderful times we had throught our four years at Kenton High, many of us lost confidence and dis- liked to see our school days end. We chose for our Senior Class officers: Joan Kerns, President; Joe Clark, Vice- President; and Janet Arn, Secretary-Treasurer. The Senior participants in the Student Council were: Joan Kerns, Pat Hiatt, Janet Williams, Barbara Baker, Mary Lou Wedertz, Dick Jones, Mary Decker, Roger Frost, Sue Robinson, Gene Haudenschield, and Nelson Gaskins (we dominated it by numbers). The SeniorClass play was Father of the Bride with the leads going to Charlotte Durkin and Don Jones. The director was Miss Isabel Sloan. With the closing fourth year and thus ending Part I in our book of life. Now we look forward to a happy and prosperous future in Part II of our life. COMPLIMENTS OF KENTON SAVINGS BANK MEMBER OF F.
