SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS REMINISCING JusT four shorT years ago nearly one hun- dred and ThirTy raTher frighfened boys and girls enfered The door of The old high school building as freshmen. One hundred and eighT of Those same boys and girls, for whom high school life is now over, have aT lasT realized ThaT The Time finally does come To graduaTe, leave our school, Teachers, and friends, and enTer The greaT ouTside world. Our aThleTic abiliTy came To IighT even as freshmen, for our basIceTbaII Team won The disTricT basIceTbaIl TournamenT in Lima and several of our boys made The reserve basIceTbaII squad. Kenny Williams also upheld our class by being awarded a varsiTy IeTTer in fooTbaII his freshman year. Then aT The annual high school parTy we wenf ahead and won The sTunT by The porTrayaI of a Day wiTh The Dionnes. During our sophomore year we really sTepped inTo The limelighT by winning The inTercIass TournamenT, which was one of The greaTesT Thrills of our high school life. LaTer ThaT year we Toolc firsT place in field day aT Robinson Fielcl. This same year our clever sTunT again won us firsT prize aT The high school parTy. NoT only This year, buT our oTher Three years as well, our class was noTed Tor having noT only a greaT deal of aThleTic abiliTy in ifs midsT, buT also an excessive number of brillianT sTudenTs as well as many wiTh abiliTy along The lines of music, debaTe, dramafics, and iournalism. PresidenT-Maxine I:iTzpaTricIc Vice PresidenT-David Young SecreTary-Jeanne Newell One of The biggesT evenTs of our iunior year was The presenTaTion of The play, Beginners Luck, a highly successful comedy, and one noT soon To be forgoTTen. This same year we again Toolc Top honors by winning The inferclass TournamenT in one of The mosf excifing games ever wiTnessed by a K. I-I. S. sTudenT. Toward The laTTer parT of The year we planned The annual junior-senior prom, which was one of The mosT successful affairs of The year. Then on The IasT day of school The juniors were again vicTorious aT The annual field day evenfs, scoring more poinTs Than any oTher class. And now under The leadership of Maxine FiTzpaTricIc as seniors, wiTh a chance afforded To us ThaT has noT been given To any oTher senior class in KenTon for nearly half a cenTury, we feel ThaT we have really come Through wiTh flying colors. Our boys on The foofball, basIceTbalI, and baseball Teams have had a greaT year and we are proud of Them all. And The places held by Those in The band and orchesfra, high school choruses, Echo and EchoeTTe sTaTfs, debaTe Teams and many oTher organizaTions are going To be hard To fill. Our very dramaTic play, Mignon- eTTe which was so capably direcTecI by Mr. Foralcer, meT wiTh greaT success when given in The audiTorium and will long be remembered by Those who saw iT, as well as Those who parTicipaTed in iT. We shall always be able To Ioolc baclc wi+h happy memories over These four shorf years in high school, and we shall always feel proud ThaT we have Ieff a record ThaT can serve as a challenge To fuTure classes of our Kenfon High School.
