Bob Sorino But of course you do move on. Kent natives are few and far between, and in the end you aren ' t one of them. You head east or west, and nothing of Kent goes with you but your diploma and maybe a Moosehead jersey and the subtle temptation to compare. Nobody makes chili like Gerty. Anything beats February in the heart of the heartland. You were from Kent for four years anyway — or five, or six — and somewhere in the back of your brain it ' s stuck ... a microcosmic frozen little point of reference that melts down onto every other place you settle.
