Student Store Peering through an open porthole in the area of the galley were the iolly ship's storekeepers lL to RJ Betty Simons, Carol Bissell, Polly Durbin, and Sue Stitt, busily supplying the orders of their customers fl to R1 Jackie Beyler, Judy Clarendon, and Bill Anderson. Anchoring for business each noon hour, the student store ship became just a dive, swim, and a float away from the crew's every need. Tickets for lunches, dances, plays, school supplies, pom-poms and Royal ban- ners were among the many items in stock. 'iv . lim! L.. ,., , . ,,,, , sf ' 1 18 Magazine Drive Champion sailsman Orrin Vincent ac- cepted his fifty dollar prize from magazine- sale chairman Robyn Allard. Vincent sold 8151.43 of subscriptions in the three weeks' competition to spur the sophomores on to victory over the upperclassmen. Second place prize of S35 went to Doreen Nakayama and a third prize of S25 to Tom Hargan. Field trips to the place of their choice, awarded to the homerooms with the greatest per capita sales, were granted to Mr. Geldoker's and Mr. Trescott's classes. All profits from the drive went toward completion of French Field track facilities. if Student Handbook M! 1 The Student Handbook for 1960-1961 was organized and published under the direction of Editor Shirley Clements. The pamphlet, containing helpful hints and information for both newcomers and old hands at K-M, was distributed to all students at the beginning of the school term. Questions concerning the A.S.B. constitution, calendar of events, cur- riculum, clubs, athletic program, rules and regulations etc. could be answered by con- sulting the Handbook, Staff members standing around Shirley Clements, editor, were ll. to RJ Sandy Carey, Marilyn Haight, Arlene Holman, Judy Ott.
