AIISIQNT: Sylvia Iloxvden, l TWO EASTER BUNNIES Down by the marsh On the edge of the wood, Lived two little bunnies Who were very, very good. One was named Trigger, The other was Pete. They had fairly big heads And very huge feet. Pete's eyes were blue, He had a short tailg Getty McCrary. His whiskers were long, His ears like a sail. Trigger's eyes were pink, His little nose twitched. He got in lots of mischief And was very often switched. One night their mother told them Easter was coming 'round, And about the Easter bunny Bringing eggs without a sound. The next bright morning They were up at dawn, WHY, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND On the eleventh m onth, the elev- enth hour, and the eleventh day, All wars came to a n end. We heard them say, The Victory's won and all is done. That was twenty-four years ago. But still we are having another war show, With our soldiers every land. It's no wonder w and sailors in hy a little girl can't understand All about Armistice Day. leanne Thomas They packed up their clothes And then they were gone. They took the path to Rabbitville, Which was just hve miles long, And after a short while They began to sing a song. VVe're going to be Easter bunnies And hide colored eggs, We're on the path to Rabbitville, Which will tire out our legs. Betty McCrary Y Q S Ii
