Student Council The Student Council at Kenston High School is the governmental organization representing the en- tire student body. The Council consists of two rnem- bers from each class, who are elected by their class- mates in the fall, and the four officers, selected by the entire student body each spring. Meetings are held bi-weekly under the direction of the President, Eleanor Kobick. The Student Coun cil sponsors several sock hops each year to raise mon- ey for its projects. This past year the Council gave a 35150 scholarship to an outstanding senior.

To be eligible, a student must have maintained at least a B average throughout his high school years. In addition to excelling in scholastic achievement, a member of the National Honor Society must also be outstanding in the fields of leadership, character and service. Each spring new members are inducted at a special school assembly and then honored at a banquet sponsored by the senior members, their par- ents, and the group advisors, Mr. Ellis Duitch, Mr. Samuel Griffith, and Mr. Fred Klaisner. 77
