Stubbs, Coach Kro Even though the track team didn't win a meet, there were several boys who stood out in their events. Gary Stubbs continued his success in the mile, Brad Eichstaedt, J. Taylor, J. Kennedy, hn. X Roach in the half-mile, and Jerry Taylor in the 440, the 100 yard dashes, and the high jump. All three boys went to the state track meet. A West Geagua batter tried to beat out a bunt. H did. Jack Ruclnay made it to home in plenty of time as he scored one of Kenston's 12 runs against West. Kenston won, 12-5. This Burton boy didn't quite make it as Dick Schultz watches Paul Saiter nab the throw from second. John King was safe as he took second during the West game. Dave Larsen made the put-out as the centerfielder ran in.
