This group has been playing to- gether the past four years. They re- ceived a III rating the first year th- ey played at the District Music Fes- tival. The following year they received a I rating but were unable to compete at the State Festival because one mem- ber d the quartet was still in grade sc- hool. In 1955 this group had the top ra- ting at both the District and State Mu- sic Festivals. This saxophone quartet has also entertained at a number of ci- vic programs. The girls 'vocal quartet has been si.n- ging together for about two year s. Th- ey received a II rating at the District Music Festival last year. They have sung for a number of community affair s. Hurley Leitner, Janet Kusel, Jeanne Watts, Erleen Reneberg. Joyce Kessler, Barbara Gibson, Mer- ilyn Otis, Carol Larson. This quartet began playing together five years ago when they were in gra- de school. They received a II rating the first year they entered the Music Fe stival. The next year their rating was a IV. In 1954 they received a I at the District Festival and a II at the State Festival. Like the saxophone quartet, this quartet received the top ratings at both the District and State Festival last year. The clarinet qua- rtet has also played at many civic pro- grams. A new boys ' quartet was formed th- is year. Because they have not been singing together very long, they have only made one performance, that be- ing at the High School Christmas Ass- embly Program, Terry Schoeni, Roger Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Jerry Hagman. 1 T 1 I q Y 1 Q aa X h i A, D . , 'L FRONT ROW: J.
