RINO The Community Association of Kensington High School is the link which connects the home with the school, and serves to strengthen the communication lines between the parents and teachers. Through bulletins distributed to the students, the members of the Community Association inform concerned parents of their programs and plans. Among its projects this year, the Community Association sponsored its traditional Pot- Luck Supper and provided refreshments at Parent's Night. It also awards a one hundred dollar scholarship annually to a promising senior. This year as a special service to upper- classmen and their parents, the Community Association presented a panel discussion, Where to After Graduation, at its January meeting. Guests on the panel were represent- atives from four local colleges. Through its active efforts from September until June, Communications lines were never down. We, the student body, our parents, and the administration of Kensington thank them for this. 24

I MEMCDRIAM Our hearts mourn the passing of a man who contributed much to Kensington High School. Wilbur E. Unger, Assistant Principal from 1962 to 1966, was a dedicated admin- istrator and a fine person. Although he was by nature somewhat quiet and conservative, Mr. Unger made many friends during his stay at Ken. He supported enthusiastically all activities and was a familiar face at assemblies and athletic events. He distinguished him- self to such a degree that he was appointed Project Administrator for the Teacher Aide Program in Buffalo, a Federal program to aid poverty areas. Although only for a few short years, Kensington was indeed fortunate to have on its staff a person as capable and outstanding as Mr. Unger. rf- Death also comes for the young. For Susan Marie Hooper, life ended tragically in an automobile accident early in September. Sue was an Honor Student and an active Ken- singtonian, participating in many sports and extra curricular activities. Her ever-radiant smile reflected a warm personality which endeared her to those she knew. Her life was rich and her future bright. A senior, Sue would have graduated this year and faced a new world of challenges and responsibilities. However, death intervened and a promising futute was left unrealized. This was clearly a great loss to Sue's family and friends, and perhaps too, the world lost a bit of brightness. Yet for Sue Hooper, all that remains is lasting happiness and peace. Farewell, whose living life I shall not find, whose Faztlz and Work were bells offull accord .... 25
