S ' if On the evening of Mareh 14, 1936, panir re1gned in the Schroeder family in Jamestown until it was definite- ly confirmed bythe doctors that the strange noises in the room were caused by Marlene. Marlene Ann was the name chosen for the fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Schroeder. She lived in Jamestown during the early years and started her schooling there. The ne:-at year she moved with her family to Kellogg, Idaho, Where she attended the second grade of her schooling. The next year they moved to Kensal where she has gone to school ever Marlene has played basketball since she was in the seventh grade. In her freshman year she acted as cheer leader and during her junior year our rlass chose her as carnival queen eandidate. Marlene is actlve is school affairs. 5111515 a member of the Pep Club and Chorus. She tool' part 1n both our junior and senior tlass plays and for many years was a member of 4-1-I. S' , if -- yf? She was born in Kensal, but since then she has always lived on a farm. Sandy started the first grade at a rural school north of Kensal, where she completed two grades. She then moved to a farm south of Kensal and finished the re' rnainder of the grades and high school here. In her junior year Sandra was a member of the Stu- dent Council, and also was chosen to act as Sports editor on the Clarion staff. She also took part inthe play, Ginger Snaps Back. ln her senior year she was a member of the Annual staff. chorus, and took part tn the play. Saved by the Belle. Through all four years of high school Sandy has been a star basketball player and has proved herself to be a big credit to her team. Sandy has a few favorites which are. FOOC1---Steal-21 pastime---listening to the radio: and sport---baslaeb ball. Her ambition is undecided but whatever it is her classmates and friends wish her all the luck for a sut vess. 8 Among Mai-lene's favorites are: Food---fried 1 hu ken: sport---basketball, arnbitton--fhousewife.
