WJ, L. I Before a record breaking homecoming crowd Kenosha's Red grid warriors downed a stubborn Park eleven, 7 to O. A Covelli to Camosy pass early in the first quarter gave the Kenoshans a lead they never relinquished throughout the remainder of the game. Kenosha turned back many futile pass attempts of Park's in the final moments to earn a well deserved victory. OCTOBER 30. NOVEMBER 6. Football Games for 1937 OCTOBER 16. Under the lights of Monterey Stadium, Kenosha's Redrnen were defeated 6 to O by lanesville's undefeated eleven which later won the conference title. Early in the second quarter lanesville drove over for the lone marker from the fifteen yard line where a feeble Red punt had gone out-of-bounds. Alex Ferguson made a forty-three yard run which nearly resulted in a Kenosha score. OCTOBER 23. Kenosha I-ligh School's scrappy Redmen held Madison East scoreless for three quarters, but were unable to withstand Harold Rooney's savage running in the final period. The Purple and Gold scored on a seventy-one yard march for a 6 to O victory. Taking the ball on its own 29 yard line, East, led by Rooney, who carried the hall ll out of 13 plays, marched to the goal, Kenosha was in position to score twice in the fourth quarter, but adverse circumstances nullified both. 05 The Kenosha gridrnen, in the football finale of 1937, iolted Beloit, defending champion, 12 to 7, in the most stunning reversal of the year in the Big Eight Conference. The Reds removed Beloit from further title consideration, and this triumph gives them a rating of three wins and four defeats in the circuit for the 1937 campaign. Kenosha A A 13 coined their first touchdown when Covelli went over in the first quarter. The point triedfizzled. Demos scored Beloit's touchdown in the third period, and l-lanaman's kick put the purple ahead 7 to 6.
