Christmas Ball The Christmas season arrived and once again the Seniors of '58 stepped forth and in true tradition sponsored the Christmas Ball. It is the event where royalty reigns supreme, for the Year- book Indian Chief and Princess are revealed. Climaxing a week-long spirited sale of yeariaooigs, the gala event is the peak of the Christmas season. A gaily decorated tree, aglow with lights and tinsel, stood in the center of the dance floor, while perky little snoz-.men and their ladies graced the far corners. A candy cane canopy sheltered the Satellites, the rock-'n-roll combo ef KIIS, who played for dancing and also presented a program for the guests. Vxfhen ballots had been tallied, revealing that the Junior candidates had won, Chief Gary Lambert and Princess Shirlene Starnes stepped forward to accept the headdress of Royalty. The special Coronation dance followed their crowning, after which the festivities resumed. At 11:00 P. M. , all the guests gathered about the Christmas tree and joined in the singing of the traditional carols and then Merry Christmas goodmghts were heard as each dreamed of another Christmas just like the ones we used to know. .
