Acting as guides for visiting teams during the Christmas Basketball Tourna- ment, and Conducting a school-wide assembly to acquaint students with the work of the Crusade for Freedom. 4? ,,,...n-will KHS Band And Its Twirlers One of our largest organizations is the KHS Band. There are fourteen seniors, sixteen juniors twenty-six sophomores and twenty freshmen or a total of seventy-six members Any afternoon in the fall they may be seen practicing just as diligently as the football boys for the marching band is on hand for every home game lending enthusiasm from the sidelines and performing its routines at half time. This year the marching band made its first out-of-town ap pearance when KHS and Portageville tangled in their annual tussle of football Other activities participated in this year were the Jackson Marching Festival Blytheville Cotton Picking Contest, Kennett's Fall Festival and the Christmas Parades The Christmas concert showed the more serious side of the group. Spring activities include the spring concert, the band contest in Cape and the trek to Memphis to partiicpate in the Cotton Carnival. OFFICERS FOR 1957-'58 President ..............
