TATLER With the utmost appreciation for a job well done we take our hats off to the Tatler Staff. ln the few years of its existence the Tatler has been steadily improved until today it is outstanding in the field of high school publications in Southeast Missouri. With its clever illustrations, humorous jokes, and good natured ribbing of students and teachers, it has furn- ished not only fun for reading but has helped to turn our thoughts to the more serious side of life with its student editorials, which have been directed toward tolerance, cooperation, and permanent peace. So here's orchids and many more to the following individuals. For their very efficient management Here's putting in a plug for two well-deserving students, I. R. Early and Sol Astrachan, who served as co-editors. News Reporters: Mary lean Harris, Lois Buschman, Betty Ann Chism, Paul Slicer, Ioann Scales, and Naoma Traylor. They have worked together to give you the LOW DOWN on what's what in school life. Feature Writers: Barbara Sharpe, Lorene Reis, Ioe Hemphill, Peggy Killian, Carolyn Blake- more and Ioan Stewart. They have turned out some highly original copy. Sports Writers: Charles Vandergriffe, Charlotte Mills, and Ioe Harding. Their vivid reviews of the sports events have helped us relive each thrilling game. Artists: Ioe David Patrick and Barbara Baker. They have worked untiringly and have dem- onstrated real artistic ability. Advertising Managers: To Tommie Shields and Don Marshall due credit should be given for their ability to bring in the ads. The typists from the second year typing class: Peggy Killian, Kathryn Williams, Mary Lee Green, .Marcella Edwards, Patsy Stout, lune Ross, ,Marcella Ray, Willene French, Alma Barnes, and Helen Richardson, have performed a tedious, unspectacular, but very essential job. Iunior High co-editors: Gene Richardson and Nell Iones who also did a splendid job, have seen to it that their department has been represented in every issue. The Tatler Staff has been given a private office. This office, which was formerly oc- cupied by the Superintendent, has contributed greatly to the publications of the Tatler. ...37..
