V.C.Y, Chess Club Instill Interest i J.F.K. Activities, Concerns of Other The people in room 111 are not posing for the art class nor are they rehearsing for a silent picture. These students posed in silent concentration are members ofthe Chess Club. The fifteen members of the J.F.K. Chess Club, along with their ad- visor, Mrs. Landrith, are the only high school team that plays in the Detroit Metro League. The Club meets once a month at Detroit Edison to test their schools. Another club active out of school as well as in, is the Voice of Christian Youth.
