ft? 1, J.F.K. Choir Fills Halls Wi A familiar melody lingered through the halls, as the Con- cert Choir, directed by IVlr. Banks, presented their annual Christmas Concert. The success of the Christmas Concert was matched in the spring as the choir performed a fine Spring Concert. JFK Cheerleaders Unite to Boost Spi As the 1970 football season opened, in front of the bleachers stood seven smiling seniors attired in the familiar red, white and blue uniforms signifying the Kennedy Varsity Cheerleaders. These girls together with the equally talented reserve squad have maintained and promoted the school spirit necessary to spark our athletes and bring the classes together as one unity. To achieve this goal the girls attended an Indiana Cheerleading Camp for a week. returning with various awards. Both squads received the coveted spirit stick, an award given to the most spirited squad. Miss Diane Melvin, the squads advisor has maintained her position of two and a half years and continues to share in the goals of the squad. 66 - Student Life
