Student Government Striv Each year, new ideas set higher goals for the stu- dent body to reach. lt takes strong leadership to achieve these improvements. The classes must unite and work together to overcome the problems which may stand in the way of accomplishment. Student government tries to get involve all students in school activities which will generate the spirit it takes to make what seems to be impossible - reality. 50 - Student Life

NHS Honors Individual Achievement Every person has some special area in which he excels in. The National Honor Society rewards those who maintain a standing in academics. But to qualify, one must not only the academic requirements, but also must possess other qualities. He must participate in school activities, be ap- proved by a board of faculty members and obtain several teacher recommendations. The qualifications are stiff, but all who participate in this group agree that the membership is worthwhile. Under the leadership of Miss Koan and Mr. Dickelman students find that the National Honor Society provides another area of academic involvement. 52 - Student Life
