Sophs, Juniors, Seniors Unite For Victory Season lt's no wonder that football is one of Kennedy's most popular sports. Football is the excitement of victory and the agony of defeat. lt's the wind, the cold, the rain, and the mud. lt means practice every night after school and no matter how tired and sore you are during the week, it's getting out there the day of the game and giving your all. lt's unity and strength. Football is being backed by a strong Junior Varsity team and being encour- aged and pushed on by a good coaching staff, like that of J.F.K. Football is more than just team work, it's the efforts of the entire school, the cheerleaders, the band, the pep club, and every per- son who boosts the team at the games. Football is going to the games and yelling your loudest, whether you're a coach, a par- ent, a cheerleader, or an excited fan in the stands. lt's spirit and pride. Football is the many little moments which you remember: your first game, learning what a touch-down was, sharing a cup of hot chocolate, knowing that in victory or defeat your team was trying their hardest. Football is a broken leg or a sprained ankle. lt's wanting to go into the game despite your crutches. .f Jtball is breaking Melvindale's winning streak, and downing our crosstown rivals, Taylor Center, for 50-42 victory. lt's tears and memories as the seniors hand in their uniforms. Football means getting involved. , ., . .f ' ' ' sig . - tel.-Q -.. .rgfl T sg -i..-1. . . .-...s .., .-is.: -s: 1:s1' T F ' eff: -ie. if-ie ' -.!f':. iff' S 11 's' - .. ze- ' A -' I . . -' if f . 1. - .. -.. --:fig 'ss' - , , ,di M., M.- ..
