The 17 senior and 19 junior candidates were notified by mail, at the beginning of the spring semester of their election to membership by the faculty and of the meeting to discuss goals and purposes of the society, plans for having the yearbook picture taken, and information about the formal ceremony to be performed by the Taylor Center High School Honor Society. Under the direction of sponsor, Mr. Vandette, and the faculty board of directors: Mr. Maley, Mr. Pantalone, Mr. Lininger, Miss Boncarosky, Mr. Bone, Mr. Dickelman, Miss Koan, and Miss Wilkinson, the Kennedy Honor Society was established as the forerunner to the Kennedy National Honor Society which is expected to replace the original organization as soon as Kennedy High School is accredited by the North Central Association.
