Others tried to tell you that you were lucky, but you knew better. It’s fact: you had a great team, and you were a big part of it. Your pride increased along with your hat size. Films don’t lie, however, and thanks to Kodak, the coach found some nasty mistakes in the game films. Several wind-sprints would take care of any head swelling, thinks coach. SHSMS NIGHTS □ n record. |a high school football game is played only once. But as any athlete knows, that same game is played and replayed hundreds of times. They all happen on the same night... the evening before the game, in each player's own mind. On one hand, you knew that you would be good. Or you might be good. Maybe. Then again, you might just be a flop. Before that very first varsity football game, you hoped for the best, and sometimes expected the least. Either way. you couldn't keep from wondering, and you couldn't keep your eyes from staying open. There were games to be played. And it wasn't even Friday night, yet.
