Mrs. Reed’s Spanish I class concentrated on a daily .quiz. Foreign Countries Mrs. Schmidt helped student Bill Johnson with his French III grammar assignment. The languages of French, German, Spanish and Latin introduced the culture and history of each country. Each course emphasized writing as well as speaking and listening to the language. In advanced years, reading and composition was stressed. 25 French III students directed their attention to Chuck May as he gave an oral report speaking only in French.

Mr. Selim strewed a vital point in world history. History . . . the Story of Time International relations students often viewed films in the classroom. U.S. history surveyed political and social history. To bring past events into perspective, world history combined sociology, anthropology, archeology and political science. Modern problems devote half the year to economics. Minority groups, family relations, and crime and delinquency followed. Classes read The Hidden Persuaders as they examined mass media and propaganda. Mr. Donald Kuzma headed a study of 19th and 20th political and social movements. With an eye to political problems, their effect on the U.S. and her role in their solution, international relations students looked at foreign countries, their peoples 3nd cultures.
