The Kennedy Choir maintained its rich and longstanding traditions. The Sing-Out , explored the talents of its members and served to break the ice in welcoming new members. Acts ranged from comedy routines to ensemble numbers and even included a magic show. The feeling of togetherness that developed in this situation extended through to our Fund Raising effort. In keeping with the Choir tradition of raising money by selling fruit, the members, with alot of hard work and determination managed to sell 1300 boxes of fruit - probably the most the choir has ever sold in all of its years. The money raised went to finance an even greater project, a musical production. There are no words that can describe the feelings and pride that every member experiences in his or her personal involvement with the production. Choir this year was not all work and no play. If you attended the Winter Concert you would have learned that the Girls, Octet really does not get a kick from champagnef, While the Boys' Octet really is into standing on the corner watching all the girls go by. And the Chamber Singers were really great once they got their geography lessons down straight. At the Winter Concert the Choir once again demonstrated its history steeped in tradition when 14 years of Kennedy Choir alumni were invited to join as one in the rendition of Handels' Hallelujah Chorus. As always, the Choiris seniors move-on. Some go to college, others begin full-time work. But no matter where they go, they take with them years of Choir tradition and fond memories of The Kennedy Choir.
