REFLECTIONS '79 Kennedy High School Kennedy, Alabama James Reese — Editor Carolyn Davis — Advisor % 3 In a poll taken by the REFLECTIONS stall, stu- dents were asked to express their opinions on vari- ous subjects. Several observations were made from the results obtained. For example, students prefer- red the more powerful, gas-guzzling class of auto rather than the smaller, economical cars. Also, right in step with the flashing lights and disco sound of today, dancing was the most popular pastime. Here are the results: Funky Pasiimes for Our Times 1. Dancing 2. Making Out 3. Swimming 4. Watching TV 5. Reading Wheels Wifh Appeal 1. Trans Am 2. Thunderbird 3. Corvette 4. Camero Z-28 5. Monte Carlo 4 Favorites The cheerleader squad practices their stunts and yells until their throats hurt almost as much as their backs. The football players find out, through aches and pains, that they had muscles they didn’t even know about. The basketball player pushes his speed to the limit in order to make the fast break lay-up. The student studies long hours to make good grades. Each person practices their respective roles knowing that their PERFORMANCE will reflect their pride and love for their school. The textbook education is the more unpopular of the two. The social edu- cation, however, can sometimes be even more important than the text- book. School is where people learn to get along with others. It is the starting point of lasting relationships. It helps build self-confidence and respect for others. These traits are learned in school and are carried on for the rest of one's life. So who says school has to be a drag? iS3 Where It's At Page 19 Faculty Faculty Faculty m Classes Page 27 Classes Classes Clubs Clubs Page 55 Clubs ft Sports Sports Sports Page 73 r'vjfx 5Nf Activities Activities Page 105 Activities w Closing Page 121 Closing Closing Page 125 Ads Ads Ads 17 Todau's Elementary . . . - Tommorrow's High School Mr. Riley McGee Principal Mrs. Marie Wright Kindergarten Mrs. Mary King Kindergarten Miss Karen Kennedy 1 st Grade Mrs. Josephine Kennedy 2nd Grade Mr. Edward Finch 5th Grade Mrs. Freida Lollar 6th Grade Mrs. Joyce Bell 3rd Grade Mrs. Olivia Crowley 4th Grade Miss Glenda Johnson Special Education Mrs. Becky Perkins Speech Therapist WHA T ARE YOU LOOKING FOR IN A STUDENT?
