We have eleven now of our original class, which w-s forty-six in number. They are: Ann Holsonback, Mertlce Stokes, Larry Savage, Lawrence Whitson, Patsy Ayers Linda Wilson, Zettle Holsonback, James Johnson, Donald Conner, Linden Howard, and Don Crowley. As sorry as we were to lose some of the members of our class, we were happy to ga'n the ones that took their places. Tn the year of 1953, Mrs. Kathleen Bragg started us on our way through high school. We worked hard In the eighth grade to put lights In our room. Our teacher was Miss. Doug- lass. In the ninth grade Mr. William Carpenter was our sponsor. In the tenth grade Mr. James Guyton, we welcomed Jackie Elmore and Joe Crow that year. Tn the eleventh grade we were glad to welcome Mrs. Laud Ice Junkins es our sponsor, but we lost Joe Crow and Nettie Grace Owens, and in that year we sponsored the Jun?or-Sen or Banquet also we had the Jun’or Play. As we close our twelve years at Kennedy High School we feel deep regret, but we take all our treasured memories of our classmates and teachers with us. We hope we w’ll leave memories w’th the teachers that w'll be remembered through the coming years. I saw Gloria Wiggins chasing B. V. across the Luxapilila Bottom. Armon Newman was hauling lumber to the Damn Yankees. Jackie Elmore had half interest in the Central Foundry. James Johnson was sitting around doing nothing like always. Mertice Stokes was writing a Gossip Column in the Birmingham News. Shirley Howton was happily married and living in Birmingham. Lawrence Whitson was teaching Solid Geometry at K. H. S. Jerry Weathers was playing left tackle for the San Francisco Forty Ninners. Lindon Howard was a great play writer by the name of Shakespeare. Ann Holsonback was living on a tree farm Just outside of Kennedy. Zettie Holsonback was in Germany where her husband is stationed. Don Crowley was happily married and living on a hill over looking Belk. Thurman Taylor was planning to run for President in the next election. Donald C. Conner was taking the top elimination honer with his new G. M. C. pickup at the Drag Strip. Linda Wilson was giving B. R. W. advice on how to handle the Wilsons, Patsy Ayers had just started her newest movie that is expected to win the Academy Award. Mrs. Junk ins was still calling soft ball games at her P. E. Classes. Because I couldn't see myself, I didn't find out what I was doing.
