PRESIDENTIAL THOUGHT . . . As long as I have been president, I have witnessed many things involved with the class of 1990. Our class started out with a bad year. This year, we're back on Otir feet ready to start over. The one thing I can say about thlS class is that we work together. The different ideas we have, we compromise to make them work. This is what keeps us oing. I consi er our class to be the most spirited out of the rest of the classes. We seem to care about our school, and will partici ate in any school spirit activity. We show our spirit at ra ies, at games, and we also have extra beat. There are two so homores on the cheerleading squad, and also have sophomores on the Varsity Football Team. As you can see, we get involved. One last word: keep it up, SOPHOMORES, because when we're SENIORS, we're goin to make this school have spin't like it was back in 19 5, 1986 - LIVE! These are just a few of the types of vehicles that students drive to school. Some students are relieved of the many re- sponsibilities of owning a car. Mom's '77 Toyota Corolla is what Senior Robert Hoffman drives to school. When asked what he pays for he an- swered, Anything that has to do with money my mother pays for it. I just drive it. Senior Oliver Champion has his choice of driving an '83 Honda Accord or an '87 900 Turbo Saab. He said, my parents pay for everything, but there are occasions that I pay for the gas myself. Other students pay for a lot more. Senior Alex Gwathney drives a '79 Honda Accord. He says, I pay for everything tgas, insurance and repairsi it's still my mother's car. Senior Keb Nompraseut 0n the other hand drives his own '87 Nissan ZOOSX. I pay for everything myself except for the repairs - my uncle helps me there. Having a car or being able to drive may not be what it's cracked up to be. There are a lot of responsibilities that come with driving, so if you think you're not quite ready to meet them, you might consider sticking with AC Transit for just a while longer. e Juan Gutierrez
