Kennedy Goes To The Playoffs 2 1 Kennedy has a new head football coach this year, Martin Quinn, and a new assis- tant coach, Robert Marchese, Coach Tank. Although the season was short- ened by the teacher strike, the team still managed to accomplish some of their goals which were winning the homecom- ing game, having a winning l2-ll confer- ence record, and going to the city playoffs. One of the many keys to Kennedy's of- fense was its' offensive line led by guard, Andre Levi, and the tackles, Colby Wil- liamson and Richard Stallworth. Kenne- dy's tight ends, Leron Jones, Patrice Mat- thews, and David Lewis came through with catches in crucial moments. Kenne- dy's backfield was also outstanding with tailback Jernell Russ and fullback, Aubrey Glasper making all section, and wingback, Jamahl Southall made all city second team. The Kennedy defense was excel- lent, holding on to close leads late in the games. The defense was led by linemen, Mike Bulin, Aphek McCarty and Dave Ko- lodziejczak.
