Coach Janulis is the first Ken- nedy graduate to return to coach at our school. Even though this was his first year, they made it to the city championships with a record of 7 wins and 2 losses. Spring Tennis The Kennedy tennis team is coached by Mr. Ralph Witkovich. The team is co-ed and the members are:Douglas Crowley, Joe DelRosario Lory Durkiewicz, Joy Jenicek, Mary Jo Munis, Eric Ostrowski, and Erica Steward. This year the team competed in a sectional competion and finished next to last. To prepare for competition, practices were held everyday on the tennis courts or in the Kinzie gym . They competed against opponents from Curie and Bo- gan. During May, they competed in the singles competition which guaranteed spots in the city Pictures: 1. Mary Jo Munis keeps her eye on the ball. 2. Joe DelRosario steps into the ball. 3. Mike Severa shows how the pros do it. 4. Eric Ostrowski makes a dramatic save. 2 3 and state finals. The team unfortunately lost finals.
