Against All Odds,Yearbook Comes Through ft fit The yearbook uses a professional level typesetting system with the school computers. Staff members learn graphic arts skills used in modern publishing. Staff members took most of the photographs used in the book. This year, the staff organiza- tion was also changed. Instead of dividing the technical tasks for each page among several staff members, the entire process was handled by the person assigned to the page, from pictures through typesetting and layout to final pasteup. Presiding over the process was Editor-in-chief, Julie Brand, assisted by faculty advisor, Jack Begy. Patricia Moy, Business Manager and Ad- vertising Director handled finances. 0 gf 50 ic ures ' After another trying year of strike, deadlines P mis-filed pictures and other obstacles, the yearbook staff made it again. Soft Ball Our girls' softball team was very good this year. they won six out of twelve regular season games. they were stiff competition for these schools. The girls really enjoyed playing this year. They practiced hard and were determined to win. It is impossible to single out any one player as the most valuable, they were all great. They lost their sec- ond playoff game because of disput- ed decisions on the part of the um- pire. The players feel that Mrs. Lemke was a great coach and she was a lot of fun. The girls on the team say Mrs. Lemke has the ener- gy of a 19 year old. The new players this year were: April Haynes, Maria Molinaro, Su- san Johnson, Carrie Helson, Anita Brown, Kathy Becker, and Ro- shonda Jones. Continuing from the previous year were: Joan Russo, Sue Lave, Michelle Christopher, Brenda Martello, Nancy Izral and Karen Baumhardt. Pictures: 1. Sue Lave pitching. 2.
