SS N? QQWNK my if Band ini? Kennedy High School has two very talented instrumental groups, Concert Band and Show Band. Con- cert Band, conducted by Mr. Louis Ricci, plays at graduation, the Christmas Concert, pep rallies, school assemblies and parades. Each year they march in the Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Memorial Day parades, and also the Archer Avenue Pumpkin festival. This band plays traditional band music and learns to march and do special formations and routines. The Con- cert Band also plays at the Football games during halftime. Kennedy also has the Show Band, conducted by Mr. Raymond Kober. They play annually in the winter and spring concerts and they pro- vide the musical portion of the spring play which is traditionally a Broadway musical. The Show Band is a smaller band which plays pop, jazz, and show tunes. Pictures: 1. Amanda Scheer playing with the Show Band at the International Festival. 2.
