Taking pictures and more pictures, figuring out what to put on each page, and typing and printing copy on the word processors, are some of the many jobs. what is really annoying is when the printer breaks down or a disc crashes on the day of a deadline. Getting ads and selling yearbooks are sometimes just as hard to do as all the rest. A yearbook member must have the qualities of a photographer, jigsaw puzzle solver, secretary, computer programmer, repairman, salesman and a patient person. But all of these trivial aggrevations diminish when a set of proofs or a stack of photographs come back. To see a job well done has an immense satifaction that can not be expressed, only felt. Out of all the satisfactions that a yearbook member will appreciate and remember most is when the yearbook is complete. To a yearbook member that book is like a seed. It started out with a few small ideas and bloomed into a book that will be looked at several years from now and will always be cherished.
