GEORGE M ADAMS, Well not easihf forget those booming inanities, those demanding stares shaded by OUR grey hairs, that pequent hysterical laughter that always mujjcled down to a smiling shrug, the amused concern as we panicked before a deadline, those terrible imitations of people we still can ,t identyjf, or the way you wane your nose. We are onhf another bunch of kidsv who somehow became involved with the mysterious production of the yearbook. We pass, others, hopjulhf, will try. Every bunch, however unique, will continue to move. Once again I feel that not onbr the yearbook, but the entire school was fortunate enough to have a hard working, diligent, creative group of stu- dents. The 1971 GR YPHON is the result of many long hours of hard work, sweat, and yes, even tears on the part of this group of great kids. As year- book advisor these past eight years, I rate this year's editor and stajj' as certainbf one of the most independent and yet reliable group I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Miss Pat Quigley, this years editor, has pro- duced,' in spite of split sessions, dissension in the ranks, and an old cantankerous advisor, a book that trubr represents what went on here at old JFK this past year. I feel the school owes her a debt of gratitude for this noble achievement and as the years go by and this book becomes more and more valuable to you, her contribution will become even more apparent. To you, Patty, and Maureen, Bruce, Terry, Jeanne, Peggy, Rick, and all the others that gave so much, many, many, roses . . . Roses also to Ron Williams, our photographer employed by Glick Studios Ron's work domi- nates the book and personalizes our JFK to you, the viewer . . . thanks Ron. Roses also to Bob Davine, our yearbook repre- sentative employed by our publisher Wm. J. Keller Inc. without whose help this book may never have been finished on time . . . thanks Bob. Roses to Jack Smith, our yearbook jinancial ad- visor . .. the guy who keeps us in the black while we try and spend it all . . . thanks Jack. Crab Apples to those seniors that didnit make their picture appointments, didn ,t send their proof in on time,' didn 't get their names to us in time to get them on the books, and in general made our job a lot more dyjicult . . . Crab Apples to other groups that didn 't show up for pictures or used our name and loused up our accounts . . . but Roses to the many seniors and underclassmen that supported us by buying this book of memories . . .
