Although this organization has produced a more in- terested student body, with apathetic attitudes somewhat dimin- ishing, a much more effective and concerned assembbf is greathf needed. Student Council sponsored the successful Homecoming activities and in lieu ofthe traditional Christmas Ball, sponsored a Sweetheart Semi -Formal in February. J iw .,,,., The Key Club is an organization devoted to service, and it is one of Kennedyjs most active clubs. The members act as ushers at school functions in addition to their many special projects. They include: a Service-to-Youth dinner, the staging of a basketball marathon for the Multiple Sclerosis Fund a memorial presentation to our late president, John F Kennedy, helping with the Rubella Vaccine campaign, the Kiwanis pea- nut sale, holding Halloween and Christmas parties for handi- capped children, and their annual project of sending Easter baskets to the county's needy children.
