CHEERLEADERS These girls form a well-drilled group dedicated to whipp- ing up school spirit at games and pep rallies. They jump and cartwheel and shout, leading the crowds in a frenzied chant of cheers. Many girls vie each spring for the few positions on the squad, hopefully practicing through days of grueling tryouts for the honor of wearing the scarlet and navy uniform of the Kennedy cheerleader. Those chosen practice continuously all year, keeping both limbs and vocal chords in shape for the games. There,s a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun, and plenty of memories to keep for years to come.
