The freshmen spent their nrst week finding study halls, opening lockers, and mistakenly trying to sit at senior lunch tables. Although it seemed like ages before they all knew where they were going, in a few short weeks, a class that had seemed hopeless to the upperclassmen and faculty was ready to take its rightful place in the activities of JFK. After the hrst excitement wore off, the freshmen narrowed their school lives down to an endless round of classes and study halls, which were broken by an occasional assembly. During these days, the freshmen took time to elect class officers who were: Patrice Parago, President, Cheryl Justice, Vice-President, Donna Lappas, Secretary, Linda Mount, Treasurer. Then with someone at their helm, they and their class advisor, Mr. Reiter, planned activities for that year. As the year progressed, the freshmen were absorbed into the school life, and spent the majority of their time learning the ropes that make our school run. Next year they will be ready to return as veterans, eager to initiate the new Freshman Class. 175
